Bio

Mr. Katsunori Tanaka was born in Kokura*1, Kitakyushu-city about after one hundred year of the birth of the most famous electrical engineer who is known as discoverer of hysteresis effect, theoretical study on alternate current based on complex number, etc.

Education

He graduated the Department of Electrical Engineering in School of Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, and received Bachelor's degree in Engineering*2.

Then he began to study history of technology*3 at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and left the university since his private reason. However he has continued to research on history of automatic control and computing in his own time working as an engineer.

Experience

As a historian of technology

He is a researcher at Institute for the History of Science and Technology in Tokyo, and a research fellow at Tokyo Gakugei University.

As an engineer

He had been a hardware development engineer at Apple Technology, Inc.*4, Tokyo R&D division of Apple Computer, Inc..

Then he switched to software development engineer at Web Technology Ltd.*5, a Fujitsu company.

Software developmment as self-owned business, at present.
